I am using a scene set similar to Peter`s ones, no copy intentions here : ) just want to check out some basic issues like shadows, reflections, refractions. 

By the way, my settings are very similar to the described in the tutorials links above with the exception of the secondary bounces set to "None", so I just turn on one render engine (irradiance map) to achieve more faster results
